We headed back to the park this weekend. The weather was beautiful and we spent the whole entire time outside. We brought along one of Mark's friends, Calum. He had never roasted a hot dog on a fire before and before Saturday was over he had at least 6 of them! He's a really nice kid (thankfully my kids do have nice friends) and we saw a sense of humour in him that we had never really experienced before! Mark and Calum were very curious about the fire and wanted to burn everything. That was uncomfortable for me, overprotective mom, but I suppose it's better they find out with us watching over them instead of experimenting on their own somewhere. We camped along the river and so the boys were down in the swamp quite a bit too.
- We had nightly visits from the coons.
- Calum is the tallest kid in Mark's class!
- Mike took the kids on a bottle cap hunt. They had to find as many as they could and when they got back to the trailer they spread them all out on the picnic table and he asked them questions like "Show me your rustiest bottle cap" They earned points and got a prize. Guess what the prizes were? Candy! Yep, Mike likes to give the kids candy!

Oh I was hoping there would be camping pictures. It looks like you guys always have so much fun. I went camping a lot as kid ... but am not sure about it now ... but you have me thinking. Isabella and Charlotte would love it!
