Our ship returned to Miami on Saturday, but our flight back to Detroit wasn't until Sunday so we had one full day to spend in Florida. We had planned to visit the Coral Castle but by the time we got off the ship, through customs and to rent a car it was late in the afternoon and everyone was tired so we just went for lupper (lunch and supper). In Mark's case it was blupper because he didn't have any breakfast either!
This is the hotel we stayed in on our way to and from Miami. It was the Sheraton Suites in Ft. Lauderdale and it was beautiful. The rooms overlooked this courtyard. There were turtles and fish the kids could feed. It was a very nice place.

The kids succeeded in getting Mike in the pool. It was heated to 80 degrees.
Mike caught this little lizard. Jade said it felt like jelly!We all agreed that this was the best holiday. We would go on a cruise again in a second. Usually we are ready to come home by the time a holiday is over but noone really wanted to. In fact, we were trying to think of ways to stay on the ship for a bonus Eastern Carribean trip.

I am glad everyone had such a good time. It sure must have been nice to be in the warm sun and to play in the sand a little. I hope we get a chance to go on a cruise someday, it sounds like a lot of fun. It is always fun to sight see, there are so many interesting places to go and things to see. Thanks for posting all te great pics for us to see.
