Well, here we are in the year 2007. This is going to be a year of change for this family. I will turn 40, Mark will turn 10. I will go back to work in September when Jade is in Grade 1 and is gone to school all day, everyday. We look forward to these changes as it means that life continues on and change is good! We look forward to more good times with family and friends and making memories with all the fun things we do, places we visit and people we meet.

Last night we celebrated the arrival of 2007 with 4 other families. We ate, ate and ate some more and in between we played cards, laughed a lot, let the kids play hours of mini stick hockey in the basement, and of course, drank responsibly! With barely 10 minutes before midnight, we searched for Dick Clark to watch the ball drop. The kids came charging in with a little more than a minute to start counting...and boy can they count loud! And funny how fast those feet ran to get out when all of us parents tried to kiss our kids!

So the kids didn't fall asleep until around 1:30 am. Jade slept in until 11, but Mark slept until 8:30. That kid will NOT sleep in if his life depended on it. Around 1 this afternoon, he was fading fast and had a 45 min. snooze. He will not admit he fell asleep - he insists he was watching the TV the whole time!
