Jail and the Beach

We camped in Goderich last weekend. It was so incredibly quiet there. There were no screaming/crying kids, no kids with whistles blowing at 8am, no kids being pulled in wagons with plastic wheels on the gravel roads. So quiet that we all slept in until 10:30 on Sunday and we NEVER do that! It was great to sleep in but we all felt like the day went by way too fast. Again, the weather was cool but we went to the beach anyway. We just didn't go in the water.

Goderich has an old jail (spelled Gaol) that is a museum you can walk through. We've been in it before but the kids didn't remember being there so we went back. People went to jail for some really lame reasons back in the old days....like using insulting language for example.

Jade's pushing Mike into a cell and throwing away the key.

Lake Huron truly does have the most gorgeous sunsets.

It sounds like a perfect weekend. The quiet sounds heavenly ... it must just make you feel so at peace ... at least until you entered the jail cell :-)
