Halloween Night

Jade was sooooo excited for Halloween this year. She woke up at 7 am and was practically vibrating throughout the entire day. I feel so sorry for her teacher who had to deal with a whole room of 6 year olds as excited as she was! For Jade, who loves junk food more than anything, this day "was the best day ever".

Since our Jack-o-Lanterns weren't completely finished being carved we finished that job right after school. After Jade was finished she washed hers all down with soap and water so it would be "sparkly".

  • All ready to go....Do you notice how LIGHT it is outside? There is something really wrong about trick or treating before it's dark out, but it was after 6 and we wanted to get going! Mark is a zombie and Jade is a forest witch. We had polar fleece and jackets on underneath but it was a mild night and they were able to take them off shortly after.

  • The trick or treat crew. Colin, Lyndsey, Adam and Matt joined us.

  • When we arrived home a cute little penguin was waiting for us. Oh wait, that's Craig!
  • Mark's homework was to categorize and count his candy. This huge mess is just his! I think he said he got 192 pieces. Yikes!
  • Jade was counting hers too, all except the stuff she doesn't like. She put those ones aside and continued to count. She says she got a "kajillion"
  • Jade gave a couple of pieces from the pile of stuff she doesn't like to Craig! She plopped them on his belly...on his Very Hungry Caterpillar pj's.
