The Weekend

First things first.

Jeff and Tammy bought the third house they looked at! They put in an offer, accepted the counter offer and the deal was done by 4:30! I can't believe how quickly the whole thing happened! The kitchen is new, the hardwoods were just redone and the colours of the rooms are beautiful. They will be able to move right in. And...here's the exciting part...they are a block away from the beach!

On Saturday the kids had their sleepover. We didn't see much of the boys. The played hockey down the street, came home for supper but didn't stay for birthday cake and they were back down the street for more hockey. When it got dark they threw on some pj's and went straight out to the trailer. That is where they fell asleep watching movies.

Jade and Mackenzie did their girl things. At 8pm they put on their pj's and shared the chair to watch Charlotte's Web. At 9 they were ready for bed. But they did not fall asleep until close to 11! We had put the air mattress beside Jade's bed for Mackenzie. So it started with Mackenzie on the air mattress, Jade in her bed. 20 sec after I shut the light out Jade's telling me Mackenzie can't sleep! So now Mackenzie is at one end of Jade's bed, Jade at the other. Later, they ended up both on the same end of the bed. Finally at 10:45 they are both on the air mattress. They slept until 7:45 when the boys rang the doorbell to come into the house. By 4pm yesterday Jade had had enough. She was so tired, and for the first time in a long time she had a major meltdown. She fell asleep but when she woke up she continued with her meltdown right as if she had not had an hour nap. It was a trying evening to say the least! Call me crazy, but I really would do it again because all the kids were really, really good and had so much fun.
